Northern Hemisphere Hoodie-Hoo Day
February 20th is Northern Hemisphere Hoodie Hoo Day. On this winter day people go out at noon and wave their hands over their heads and chant "Hoodie-Hoo". It is a day to chase away winter and bring in spring. So if you are sick and tired of winter and a little crazy from being cooped up inside all winter join in the Hoodie Hooing at noon on Wednesday the 20th.
Here in East Tennessee winter has not been nearly as rough as it has in other parts of the country, in fact it’s been pretty pleasant – for winter. But then, it is quite pleasant here nearly all the time.
Oh, and no; I do not place any faith at all in such superstitious practices (I trust God to see to look after me) -- I just like the name and thought it'd give you a chuckle too.
